blog post #6 compare and contrast

In the story "the new trophy wife" it compares how women today are just as high up in the work force as men. women sometimes will put having children or getting married on hold so that they can further there career, however in contrast by doing this those women may never get married or have the chance to have children because they have been consumed with their career for too long. It also talks about how some men might be intimidated because the women would be making more than the male making her the trophy wife. or the bread winner, it's not all bad that women have the freedom's to work and do as they want in the workforce, but i think it is important that the male remains the head bread winner and the women focus more on family matters.

Blog post #5

In the story shoot to kill, i really enjoyed reading it. it had a good format and kept me interested the entire time. At first i though it was going to be about someone trying to kill someone else, but as i got further into it i found out that it explained how training goes for the swat team members. they use a specific set of rules and tactics in case of a emergency such as the columbine shooting. they use that experience as an example of what went right and what wen't wrong. the replay it as if it is real and practice the things they need to fix.

Blog #2

I found that chapters 4 and 5 were really good to refresh my memory. they talked about the purpose of summarizing and paying important details to what you are reading or what you are writing. which i think is important because in the recent assignment call me miss i felt it was full of detail on the negative things which i didnt like but she did do a great job telling the reader how she felt and did a very good job at convincing the reader that she worked at the worst job possible.  As well as convincing the reader that that job is one you never want.
